Integrate the online exhibition into the classroom.

This teachers' guide is a companion to the online Fragments in Focus exhibition and provides educators with the necessary foundation to use the website in their classroom. Educators can use Fragments in Focus as the primary, or supplementary, resource in crafting a Holocaust education unit.

The guide provides teachers with:
    •    internationally developed recommendations and guidelines for teaching the Holocaust;
    •    strategies for using the online exhibition in the classroom;
    •    suggested integration and teaching formulations using the 19 learning activities included in the online exhibition.

Text and captions in the online exhibition are written at a Grade 8 reading level. The content of the exhibition is appropriate for grades 6 and above. All learning activities are aligned with Grade 10 Social Studies standards and competencies, but are easily adaptable for younger and older grades.
