[Text: After the Second World War, Chaim discovered that Nazis in Auschwitz had sent forged letters to his sister.]
Chaim Kornfeld: I was told that my sister received letters from me. [They] were supposed to be also in the camp. Now they didn’t come with my transport. My sisters were somewhere else. They were in Budapest, one of them, and one of them came with a third transport from Ohel. I never wrote the letters. So, this I got to know when I came back, and some of the girls who survived, my sister didn’t, told me that my sister received letters from me in Auschwitz. I never wrote any letter. So, I was wondering what was their idea to try to do this kind of thing.
