Lapel Pin
The donor of this pin was a member of the First Canadian Army which took part in the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945. At the time the pin was collected, he was stationed in Bloemendaal, North Holland, the Netherlands.
The pin features the Wolfsangel symbol, an ancient German heraldic emblem used by various divisions within the German Nazi party. In the early 1930s, it was adopted as the symbol of the Dutch NSB.
