Antisemitic Newspaper
Der Stürmer was a violently antisemitic newspaper. From 1923 until 1945, it was published weekly by Julius Streicher, an early member of the Nazi Party. It contained hostile, anti-Jewish articles and racist caricatures drawn by Philipp Rupprecht. This content was designed to promote the Nazis’ claim that Jews were less than human. At the foot of the front page of each edition appeared the slogan: “The Jews are our Misfortune!”
