Image Slideshow and 3D

Rebecca Teitelbaum was imprisoned at Ravensbrück concentration camp for women. During this time, she worked as a forced labourer at the Siemens ammunition factory. At great risk, she stole a pencil and paper from the factory office and filled the pages with handwritten recipes. She traded food for a needle and thread and stitched the pages together to create this recipe book. In their barracks at night, Rebecca and her fellow inmates took comfort from reading the recipes aloud to each other.
